Divemaster Internship Programme
 Gain
all your PADI certifications inlcuding Open Water, Advanced, Rescue
and Divemaster, as well as a certificate in first aid and experience
operating a dive vessel and maintaining dive equipment
The Divemaster internship is a great way to get
yourself started in a career in Scuba diving.
Pacific Divers is a small but busy dive
centre with good staff and a friendly, family atmosphere. Rarotonga
is a gorgeous island with nice beaches, lagoon, super clear water
for diving and just enough people to make it interesting and engaging.
There are lots of cultural and sporting activities and at Pacific
Divers we encourage our staff to get out and make the island home.
No Experience necessary.
You do not need any diving experience prior to coming down. All
training is included as part of the internship, including your
first Open Water certification course. If you do have some experience
already that is fine and it may even work towards a credit, reducing
the time you spend on the internship programme.
We can start the programme at any time for any individual.
The standard programme runs for 6 months and requires a part time
(30 hrs per week, which equates to 6 hrs a day, 5 days a week)
commitment on your behalf.
We are able to shorten the internship length by
increasing the hours per week you commit. The shortest the full
internship can run in is 4 months.
 What
the internship includes is all training materials, instruction
and certification costs for all dive courses up to Dive Master,
free use of all Pacific Divers rental equipment for the duration
of your internship, free diving up to a total of 60 dives, training
in first aid, boat operations, marine safety and of course all
the experience you will gain from being part of a small, professional
dive operation.
What you need to provide for yourself is your airfare
and personal living expenses including accommodation and food.
There are several accommodation options nearby to Pacific Divers
and if there are a couple of interns we can arrange for a house
to be rented.
